Tornados:Acts of God(revised)

When it comes to natural disasters, many pieces of message come to our minds. such as forest fires, typhoons(hurricanes), earthquakes, floods, and so on. Human beings do not like natural disasters, yet there are some people who have interests in them. I might beone of those who love chasing tornados. For me, tornados are like mysterious and naughty boy. People do not know precisely when they will finish playing the "ruthless games."However, still there is something we can be sure. Here I want to talk about the areas affected by tornados, factors of their formation, and waterspouts.
Most tornados which we often hear about appear in North America and near the Mexican gulf. The people there areafraid of the destructive power. they view tornados as their nightmares because wherever these monsters pass, there are full of debris, blew down trees, and incomplete houses. Actually, in the U.S Great Plain tornados usually occor in April, May, and June. Also, this place has the most advantageous surroundings to form tornados; in Mexico, tornados almost appear in late autumn. They often strike Texas, Oklahoma, and so forth. These areas are called" the track of tornados."
The unstable heat is the factor of forming a tornado, especially during the daytime. When the heated air ascends as the cold air descends, a tornado is likely to occur. We can hardly observe the change of humidity and temperature. Both of them will cause tornados if they are severe enough. Moreover, tornados can be devided into six degrees--from F0~F5, and the intensity can be seperated into weak, strong, and violent. The rotating directions are also different in the North and the South. In the North, the rotating direction is counterclockwise; onthe other hand, in the South, the one is clockwise.
Tornados occur not only on land but also on the sea. The latter ones are called" waterspouts." If two tornados or waterspouts meet each other, one of them will change to the opposite rotation direction, and then the two tornados will merge into a bigger ones. In some areas, waterspouts are similar to tornados. Strictly speaking, both of them belong to whirlwind,and formfrom bottom. This year, a waterspout also struck Taiwan, but it is a rare phenomenon because the convection near Taiwan area isnot obvious than in North America. If the tornado is strong enough, trucks or even houses would be inhaled into the twister.
Tornados come and go fast. After the rude game. the sun is as shinny as before, and then the government will distribute the troops th help the threatened counties. Although I've learned such much information about tornados, I still cannot refuse to chase after the naughty boys because they are also charming and mysterious to me. Even though tornados claim many lives, they sre still one of the masterpieces of the Mother Nature. People of some where cannot totally get free from them, but fatality can be decreased ifthey learn more information about this natural phenomenon. After all, we should discover the way tolive in harmony with these acts of God.

One-act Play

Last Thursday, our 2008 one-act play ended with perfect performs and the awards. I have prepared for almost one and half monthes since the end of October. Time is fleeting, about one month ago, I thought it was far long before the formal performance. Yet it finished a few days ago.
Two days before the formal display, I was very nervous although it seemed I did not do any thing during the time. Nevertheless, I needed to complete many things before . After all, I am the leader of the one-act play, so if it happened to any accident, I need to take the responsibility. In the three days(Tuesday to Thursday), when we rehearse, the stage effect always had some problems. I was nervous about that. Fortunately, all of them are complete. The performance is so good and perfect.
Here I want to thanks all you staff. Without your sacrifice as well as effort, the performance would not be so perfect. During the time, I also learn much. I learned about how to make the schedual and supervise the work of all staff. I acheived the goal, and attain lots of sence of acheivement.

Dear parents&recently life

This Saturday is my mom's birthday. I bought a woolen coat for her. My mother is 40 more years, when I was a freshman, I always ignored my parents. For example, most of time my mom called me, I always wanted to hang up in a short time because I "thought" I was too busy to chat with my mom. But I am regretful now because I know everytime I said I was busy was an excuse. I just thought I wanted more time can belong to myself. Now, I realize the feel to find an excuse. It tastes badly maybe a couple of months, or a whole year later. After I am sophomore, I am wiser than before. I learn that time is fleeting, and if I do not cherish something, then the so called something will gradually disappear someday. I am afraid of losing something...
This semester, I chat with my mom on telephone more times . I know she care me a lot, always asked me if I had wore enough clothes, or if I need something and then they can bought for me. My father and mother is my beloved people in the world. They know my thoughts, what I like to eat,..etc. Therefore, I think it's the time to be mature. I cherish everyday as well as avoiding making them worried about me.
Recently I am not happy. Frankly speaking, I don't like any feel of any superior or inferior, especially within friends. Why can't we be friends? No better one,no worse one? NO EVERYTIME!!! GODDAM !!!!!!!!!!!! I tell my myself, I am the best one. PS. When could I find a true firend?

Winds of September 九降風

This Tuesday I went to the Hui-Sun Auditorium to see a movie at about 10 o'clock. The movie is "Winds of September." I was touched by the movie. It was a national movie about 9 senior high school students who were bad students in teachers' and many classmates' point of view. They smoked, skipped classes together. However, they just like to express their true feeling and enjoy their youth. They did crazy things such as sneaking to the poll of school at night and then put off all the clothes jumping into water. They played and laughed together. They just like a machine, but if lose anyone then the machine cannot work well.

One day, the center of the machine, who is the protagonist 鄭希彥, was collided by a car. After one day, he was in a coma. Then the machine broke down gradually. The plot was very complicated, and the director wanted to bring us audiences happiness as well as sorrow.

I like the the name of the movie both in Chinese and English. In Chinese, 九降風is very attractive, butI do not know why. In English, Winds of September, it seems they 9 people are just like a stroke of wind in a short time, and then depart respectively for different direction. I recommend you to see the movie. You can experience the energy, rebellion, happiness, sorrow, and their youth in the movie. Many times we original students also want to do something crazy, but base on the reality, we cannot because we are afraid of being seemed as heretical ones. Therefore, we can only satisfy our wishes in movies. I think it was a movie worth seeing.They are all stuggle for something in their puberty...

NANA

Few days ago I watched a movie called NANA. I like the movie although the length of it was more than three hour. Ok~It was a too long for me. The plot was very fantastic. The backgrown was in autocratic period so those policemen had the right to do want they wantto do, such as ask the commeners for money. The first scene occoured in a market. Then the heroine appered.
Her name was Nana. She came out of a bar and ever be a prostitute. But afterward, her skill of performance was discovered by a selfish man, therefore she worked in a small theater. At first she acted and sang s oawfully that the audience yelled at her. But a young man shouted at them. He thought they should not do such rude thing. Therefore everyone gave her a chance to perform well. Finally everyone accepted her unique performance and gave her great applause.
As the plot going, almost every men who connected with the lady fell in love with her. In the course, she stressed although men can give her money, they could not give her true love. She slept with many men, it seemed she was a shallow girl. But she was not, she only lived for herself.At last when she was going to die, she finally realized a man who indeed loves her.
It was a sad ending, but I like it. You can see many eye contact in the film It was full of meanings.

PoNDer cHiLD vol.2

It was a music&vision live party. Yesterday, I went to Y-Chung Street with Clair. Our original tempt was to trim hair as well as shop. When evening, we bought something to eat, then we had to find seats. Around there, three people seemed like a band, one was playing guitar, another was singing, and the other was sending leaflets. In fact,the last one is a guitarist,too. their music appealed Clair and me, so after we knew they had an party the next day, we were moved. We also invited 2 male classmates who are interested in guitar to come with us. Wow~ the location was a pub, I never went to such place before, so I was very excited about the new experience. The advance ticket of Female was NT 300,but for two,one is free. Male ticket was NT300 each one.

Today, we four people went to the pub---Lobby Club. Upon stepping the place, I could find out the smell of cigarette immediately. I DON'T LIKE IT! What's more, the music was so loud that I tought I would become a deaf after the party. We needed to speak too LOUDLY to communicate.

There were three bands in total, the first one was in their first performance. I don't like the one very much because they always yelled and shouted, not sang songs, at least I think so. The second band was better. They had better ability and skills to get high the atmosphere. They also had more fans. The third band, which was the band I met yesterday. They had 5 members totally. I expected them to sing well like yesterday. However, today their singing style is totally differed from yesterday's. They also yelled and shouted. I DO NOT like to listen TOO many "shouted" songs in one day. So I was a little disappointed today. But at least this is my first time to go to pub. I think I would rather listen light music in outdoor concert than stay in the dark, noisy, and full of smell of cigarette place. Un... I think I am not the kind of person to be enjoyable in this kind of place. But I am happy about the first time to experience pub.

Madness and civilization

Yesterday I just uploaded my mid-term report of history, I read a book called Madness and Civilization. When I was in senior high, I have heard my history teacher tell about the book.
Madness and civilization is a book which is written by Michel Foucault. Although he studied philosophy as well as psychologist, many of Foucault's concerns might be described as "structuralist". Madness and Civilization was presented as his doctoral thesis in 1960, and was published in 1961. It is a deep and complex treatment of the role of madness in Western society. It begins by describing end of leprosy in Europe and the emergence of madness as a replacement for leprosy at the end of the Middle Ages. The book was devided to 9 chapters, the main ideas including aspects of mental, medical, economy, even society.
In my opinion, madness has something relationship with civilization. After I read the classical book, I think in society full of madness, reasonstill exist; in rational society, there is still madness. They appear simultaneously.
